Rush Chair
Allie Weber
Hi I'm Allie, a sophomore from Orlando, Florida and joined KOA in the Fall of 2013
What I am studying: I am studying Political Science with a minor in Sustainable Food Systems
My Position: I am rush chair, and with that comes planning rush events and making sure everyone gets the most out of the rush process
My favorite part about KOA: My favorite thing about KOA is learning how to be social and professional with the same group of people.
Favorite KOA Professional Event: I enjoyed listening to the foreign diplomat who came and spoke to us last semester.
Random Fact: I am living on a farm in Maine this summer.
Being in KOA has given me a perspective about what college can be. It has made me appreciate people, made me take a step back and revel in how powerful a group of driven individuals can be. I've sat it meetings and looked to my left and thought to myself, "That person is going to run the world some day."
People will tell you college is the best time of your life, but it's up to you what "best" means in your book. If it means sitting at a coffee shop and reading for hours, Michigan has that, if it means standing elbow-to-elbow with over 100,000 of your closest friends on a Saturday afternoon, Michigan has that, and if it means forming life-long friendships and being exposed to a world of opportunities, congratulations, Michigan has that. And that, is Kappa Omega Alpha.
